Day 3: You Are Flawless

Blessed morning to all of my lovelies! I hope you had a good weekend. Mine was okay. Ended up getting sick; thus, my head hurts like there is no end. Plus, I start work today. I know, I know... If only this past weekend lasted forever so we didn't to go back to work and school. *sigh* But, alas, we shall face the impending day.

I sit here and think back on 2015. How did my past actions and words affect others? Did I help or hurt them? Did I build them up or tear them down? Honestly, I know I tried my best and I know I flubbed up a few times. Please forgive me for not setting a better example. In 2016, I will do even better to lift others up and help them become a more promising version of themselves.

What are you struggling with today? No matter what others say about you... There is NOTHING wrong with you.

No deformity of any kind...
No speech impediment...
No sin in your past...

Will keep God from you.

Today's song explains it all...

Day 2: Lord, I Need You

Good morning! Have you already felt the sting of an unpleasant surprise or two? I have... Does it feel like your world is about to fall apart? Mine does... I had everything planned. Can't wait for the future to happen. Then I am snapped back to reality by the mere idea of my children moving away within the next year or so. I wanted to get angry... I wanted to cry... I wanted to shout, "Why give me a big heart to love and help others and be a family kind of person, when no one will stay around?"

Then I read my devotional before bead and this is what I came across:

So don't worry about tomorrow.
Tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.

 -Matthew 6:34

I did not realize that I had taken on the burden and worries of how and what my children would be doing in the coming years. Instead, I need to simply enjoy every single second... minute... hour... and day. It is NOT my job to worry over what has not happened yet. That is a job for our Lord. Plus, he is the one that has the power to change the outcome of any given situation.

Do we have the power to influence it?
No... Maybe... Yes...

No, if you demand our Lord to give you a different outcome. He doesn't take too kindly to being told what to do. In fact, he may flat out ignore you if you take this approach. Maybe, if your heart is halfway in it. This is kind of like playing guessing game. This approach is usually used when someone calls out for help only when they are in trouble and as a result, maybe you will get lucky or maybe you won't.  Yes, if you make our Lord a part of your life on a daily basis. If you don't deny him and have candid conversations with him, there is a chance he will take your requests into consideration. Just keep in mind that the Lord won't always give you what you deem is right for you. He knows you better than you do! He even says so here:

"Before I formed you in your mother's body I chose you.
Before you were born I set you apart to serve me.
I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations."

-Jeremiah 1:5

Do you know where you stand? Do you want his help in your current situation? Then start with this song:

Let your heart sing!
Let the words vibrate your soul.
Lift the words up past the clouds and sing them
with all the emotion you can muster to our Lord's ears.

Personally, this is a prayer I sing every time I seek his guidance. And our Lord has not failed me yet.

Day 1: Daily Music Challenge Introduction

Good afternoon! It is the dawn of a new year!

Are you ready for 2016 and the surprises that will be thrown your way?

Yes?
No?
Maybe?

I am! Excitement fills me to the core as I can only wonder what our Lord has in store for me for the coming months. I know it will be better than last year. With our Lord's help, I plan to be: more prosperous; more forgiving; more selfless; more giving; more productive in all areas of my life; and more loving to those who have hurt me. What about you?

So a new year with new beginnings, right!? Well... yesterday this idea came to me of a way to help others find meaning in their own lives. What do I mean? Do you have feelings of:

hopelessness?
like you don't matter to anyone?
why must you continue to try?

All hope is NOT lost!? Do you hear me? You may find it hard to believe but there are two beings that love you unconditionally. Who are they?

God
He gave his only son to prove to us that no matter what you have said or done, you can ask for forgiveness and have a chance at a more fulfilling life.

Jesus
Even though he was perfect and obeyed every law his father (God) put into place, he willingly took abuse from the non-believers and gave his life to pay for our sins.

Now as I remember the two beings that gave me the chance to prove my life is worth living, I wanted to challenge you... my readers... to listen to the songs I will post each day. With each song I promise you will find a hidden message pave the way to something you never knew about yourself. Heck, you may even find yourself energized and ready to take on the world!

So why don't you give it a try? All that I ask is to listen to the song for one full day. Make sure you really listen to the lyrics. THIS is where you will learn the hidden meanings. Here is your first song:
